I would really like to get a Tai Chi group started that meets regularly in the park. My friend Brian is new to the area. He is a doctor of oriental medicine and has studied Yang Cheng Fu?s 108 form (Yang style Tai Chi), Hebei hsing yi, and a little Bao Ding shuai jiao. We will be meeting mostly to promote the health aspects of regular Tai Chi practice, but if you are interested in the martial aspects, Brian would be more than happy to discuss these with you. We plan to start meeting at Centennial Park in the pavilion over by the airplanes on Monday/Wednesdays at around 6:30 p.m. if anyone wants to come out and have some fun with us.

Our first scheduled meeting is for Wednesday May 7th!

    •  We started out with some light stretching and warm-up exercises. After that, we discussed the advantages related to the basic posture. Brian taught 8 standing postures (I forget the name) and we ended with some standing training/standing meditation that the people interested in Taoism might enjoy learning. Overall was a productive meeting.
